In Bijar carpets, variations of patterns can be seen, such as facial images (like "Leili and Majnoon"), miniature designs, archetypical stories, and other designs, including "Gol farang & Eslimi", "Gol o bolbol o Goldani", "Shah abbasi", "Derakhti", "Shekargah", "Mhi Bijar", Geometric patterns, Imaginary patterns (in the shape of imaginary creatures, plants, things, and human beings, and …
The coloring scheme of Bijar carpets, which includes 27 colors, is considered an important characteristic of these carpets.  The contradiction in colors, give it a special beauty.  Kurdish weavers use lively and vibrant colors in their work pieces, depicting the beautiful nature of Kurdistan.   The color of these carpets is generally red, or other similar colors, such as dark pink, pink, and rosy.  Colors like black, white, and various spectra of green are also seen.  The background of these carpets are usually dark blue, white, and red, that create unparalleled designs next to the colors mentioned above.
